What makes this tandem BASE jumping Moab team different?

Tandem BASE Moab is an affiliate of the original tandem base operation in the world, "TandemBASE," located in Twin Falls, ID which is owned by Sean Chuma. Sean is one of the inventors of tandem BASE jumping and has logged more BASE jumps and tandem BASE jumps than anyone in the world.
The instructors for Tandem BASE Moab have been BASE jumping in the area since 2007 and doing tandems since 2010. All of that time has been spent preparing to provide the ultimate experience.
Each one of our instructors has 20 times the minimum amount of jumps required to become a tandem master.
Each member of the Tandem BASE Moab team has been carefully vetted through the years. These instructors were hand selected out of thousands of BASE jumpers worldwide for their excellence in the sport, diligence and dedication to safety, and awesomely fun personalities.
Each one of our team members are trained in a way where regardless of which instructor you're making the leap with, you will still get the same ten star world class experience you've been dreaming of.
Matt LaJeunesse
As all BASE jumpers do, Matt started his BASE jumping career as a skydiver in 2006 (In order to learn how to BASE jump, you must have a minimum of 200 skydives to qualify for any stateside course to learn how to BASE jump). With over 15 years of industry experience (nearly the equivalent of 2 doctorates degrees) that includes over 14,000 jumps (and counting), it is no wonder that Matt "Laj" is considered a tried and true master of tandem skydives and tandem BASE jumps!
Ryan "Gravy" Katchmar
Gravy has been skydiving since 2008 and BASE jumping since 2013. Since moving to Moab in 2017, he has jumped over 400 different BASE exit points here making him a quintessential guide in this desert landscape. He, along with his teammates, are one of the select few tandem BASE jumping instructors in the world.
Katie Hansen LaJeunesse
Katie is the first, and only, female tandem BASE jumping instructor in the world. Not only does she hold seven world records and multiple US National titles in the world of skydiving, she has been on three arctic BASE jumping expeditions to Baffin Island. She has had years of experience offering tandem skydives before she started her journey in Moab providing tandem BASE jumps. To say she performs well under pressure is our way of "keeping it cool" in the presence of this world class athlete.
